When intern Mia took over the TAS TikTok account earlier this year, she got some pretty impressive stats. Today you’ll learn the winning formula to creating a storyline that goes viral.

The Sugababes are making headlines again (here’s how to join in the conversation happening right now)
Mia’s TAS TikTok takeover (plus the 3 ingredients that made this storyline go viral)

So, What’s the Tea?

Lionsgate's rumoured American Psycho remake has fans and critics buzzing.
Christian Bale's portrayal of the enigmatic Patrick Bateman in the 2000 original was iconic. I mean, who can top that?
The proposed remake leads us to reflect on the film's timeless themes of toxic masculinity and consumerism.
So we have to ask, is a remake necessary or just a cash grab?
Either way, fans are speculating as to who would be taking on the coveted role. Top contenders include Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland, and Charles Meltone. (No one asked me, but I think it should be Austin Butler.)
Here are a few content ideas so you can get in on this convo:
Create your own parody remake of Patrick Bateman's iconic morning routine.
Share your take on who you think should play Patrick Bateman and why.
Buckle up, pop fans.
The Sugababes are back in the headlines for a classic reason: line-up drama.
Mutya has thrown shade, suggesting the current Sugababes wouldn't exist without her and Keisha. Ouch! Battle lines have been drawn, and the internet is a war zone, with fans divided.
Team OG defends their vocals as the Sugababes' essence. Others are defending the current line-up. After all, they're talented and have a right to carry on the band's legacy.
But what we really want to know is this: does this feud mean a full reunion is a fantasy or a future anthem waiting to happen?
If you’re a Sugababes fan, it’s time to add your 2 cents:
Speculate in your content! Is this reunion talk just wishful thinking? Or is a collaboration brewing?
Celebrate the Sugababes' legacy by sharing with your audience how they've impacted you over the years.
Who's your ultimate Sugababes collaborator? Create your dream performance line-up and ask your audience what they think!
While the drama might be old-school, it has us yearning for a reunion like a hole in the head.
Until then, let's keep the girl group love alive!
Mia’s TAS TikTok Takeover

Early this year, Mia took charge of TAS's TikTok content, embracing the persona of the “bratty intern.” Her relatable but absurd storyline was incredibly successful, getting over 2 million views over 26 videos.
For this storyline, Mia took a page out of Jony's book, creating a persona who was always at odds with her boss.
And her antics struck a chord with viewers. Many in our audience could relate to her experience of being an unpaid intern.
But then Mia added absurdity to the mix, proudly showing off her lackadaisical work ethic. This simultaneously entertained and exasperated our viewers!
So what went into this winning formula?
It was super relatable while also being absurd. The recurring boss vs. employee theme is universal, and it's one we use in our content all the time. Usually, our audience sides with the underdog (which often happens to be Jony).
But with Mia's ridiculous antics, people weren't quite sure whether they should be on Mia's side or not! Of course, this stirred plenty of conversations about her character in the comments.
Mia used a tried and true story structure. As with all our storylines, Mia's videos had a clear plot structure of setup, conflict, and resolution.
The set up introduced her as the entitled intern. Each video had some sort of conflict around her quest for getting a paid job at TAS. The resolution of each video kept the light-hearted tone, with Mia remaining unemployable.
In the end, Mia's storyline over 2 million views and loads of engagement.
So the next time you're planning a storyline, try combining relatability with absurdity.
Make sure you stick to the three part story structure for each video. If you get those elements right, you may be onto a real winner!

Ask the Editor

Q - I've literally never used LinkedIn but I want to start. What's the best way to start building my brand on the platform? - Josh
Hi Josh!
So glad you've decided to get on LinkedIn. Definitely a smart move.
Honestly, one of the easiest ways to start on the platform is to just comment on other people's posts. I know it sounds too simple. But it's such a good way to get your name out there.
If I were you, I'd start spending 30 minutes a day commenting. Focus on potential clients and influencers in your industry. Soon, people will start to recognise you, visit your profile, and connect with you.
And doing this will give you the confidence to put out your own content, because you'll know what good content looks like.
Do this for a few months and see how fast your network grows!
