Jony's Wrap-Up || Saturday, 11 May

Revisiting old ways seems to be the common thing today 👀
Turns out sometimes we need to take a step back try again rather than reinvent the way forward.
Here's what went down:
Abdel is taking the reigns! Getting straight into the newsletter and he's bringing back memes for our TAS LinkedIn.
YAP podcast is going back to newsletter briefings.
Our shortform content is COOKING. We're getting confident with the way forward - just had to remind ourselves of the basics.
Charlotte portrayed our core value "Grow or Die" by turning [redacted] this week. Noice.
All in all, its been another slay week. Remember - If you let them shenan once, they'll shenanigan. Cheers xo

Your ATTN Please

This week, we’ve been onboarding Abdel so he can be more involved in the newsletter. We’ve also put up Meta ads to keep growing our subs.
This week, we learnt:
We had a hypothesis that getting new subscribers would keep our open rate and click-through rate high. And, so far, it seems we were right.
The static ads with no person on them are doing better than video ads or ones with photos. We thought it would be the opposite. Just goes to show you have to test!

YAP Podcast

We've now gone back to using the newsletter as the brief rather than talking about creators. We're also working on our YAP social strategy.
This week, we learnt:
Discussing the newsletter articles has added more variety to the topics we talk about on the podcast. Just talking about creators every day meant we were coming to the same conclusions in most of the episodes.
As we bring in more people from the team, we're still working on the best way to brief them. We’ll get there!
Our favourite episode of the week: Tuesday 7th May

TAS Shortform Video Storylines

This week, we relaunched our tried and true "day of" Instagram strategy. For the foreseeable future, Jony will be pouring a bucket of water over her head at the end of the day.
This week, we learnt:
The concept of "Day 1 of..." still works on Instagram. We noticed a rise in the “day # of…” accounts over the last couple of weeks and couldn’t help to jump on the trend again, except this time instead of counting rice, Jony’s getting soaked.
Don't overcomplicate things. At first, when we were brainstorming what action Jony was going to take in this series we thought about burning random items. It’s satisfying and entertaining, however, a logistical nightmare. We had to take a step back and evaluate why this concept of “day 1 of…” even works. A. It’s in spite of the boss (relatable), B. a journey viewers go on with the creator and C. it’s satisfying. We stripped it back and landed on a bucket of water.

For our TAS account, Abdel’s going to start creating memes and carousels. We’re hoping introducing some new content styles will boost our engagement.
This week, we learnt:
We could be better about looking back at what topics are resonating with the audience and writing more about those.
Having the team hold each other accountable for posting means we are getting better at being consistent. Really looking forward to watching everyone's personal brand journeys!
Stan’s best performing post of the week: Your content shouldn't be about what you do
Our favourite team post of the week: Brooke's talks about her dad's home

TAS IRL

As much as we try to capture all our shenanigans for your entertainment, sometimes cool sh*t happens offline.
Here's what's gone down at TAS IRL this week:
We hosted another round of group interviews. This time, we’re looking for a show writer. We’re looking to level up our scripts, jokes, and our content. And who does that best? TV show writers. We just know this person is going to take TAS and our client's content to the next level.
Charlotte had a birthday! Our beloved Char, Head of Copy and Editor of our newsletter celebrated another year of life. This newsletter wouldn’t exist without Char so y’all better wish her a happy belated birthday 😤. We love you Char, Your Attn Please would literally be nothing without you.
Cohort launched Friday morning. This is a new offer we’ve launched for small business owners. It’s a group program that takes our clients through our discovery process. It’s catered to small businesses looking to learn in a group setting. We’re excited to see where this goes!
Stan & Claire’s USA Visas got approved. Woohoo! Our bosses attended their Visa interviews this week and got the stamp of approval to enter the US for business purposes. They’ll be jetting off in June followed by Jony in July to work hands-on with our biggest US client to date. NYC here they come!
