Jony's Wrap-up || Saturday, 1 June

Bearing the fruits of our labour...
Our strategies have proven to age like fine wine (so far anyway).
Here's what went down this week:
We hit 100 daily newsletters WOOHOO
One YAP short hit 5 figures!
We hit 800k on our TikTok
Had our best performing meme on LI (for now)
So many milestones to celebrate, with results just getting better and better.
We're just getting started (if you see me popping bottles anytime soon, no you didn't)

Your ATTN Please

This week we published our 100th newsletter! We also redid our sign up flow to hopefully get people more engaged and excited to actually read after subscribing.
This week, we learnt:
Doing a daily newsletter means we've learned and grown so much in the last 3 months. Looking forward to the next 100!
Writing 3 articles a day is harder than it seems! We're trying to get into a new cadence so we can start putting more content into our newsletter, but we want to get our system down first.

YAP Podcast

We started going live from the TikTok Studio App, which allowed us to have multi cam livestreams along with the newsletter being on display. We also had Buskey and Curls join us for an episode!
This week, we learnt:
Engaging more with the viewers on live makes a big difference. The YAP Podcast has regulars now! The community is growing.
Small changes we make each week build up to make a huge difference over time.

TAS Shortform Video Storylines

We’ve collabed with a few influencers in our bucket pouring challenge. Our brand’s also gotten some interest from other brands, so we’ll see where that goes!
This week, we learnt:
Ask and you shall receive. This week, Jony asked people to follow us on TikTok if they were petty. And that one video got us 50k new followers! Goes to show that people will do stuff when you ask.
Putting out 50 TikToks a week was a great way for us to learn how to create good content. Now that we’re only doing a few really high-quality videos a week, surprisingly, we’re still getting the same engagement. This shows the power of an effective strategy.
Our best performing video on TikTok: Jony riling up the petty army to prove Stan wrong
Our best performing video on IG: Day 23 of the water bucket challenge
Stan's best performing video: Stansplaining clip with Louise Coelho
-Laura, Social Media Coordinator

We’re still trying to crack our TAS LinkedIn and the team’s been holding each other accountable to posting, too!
This week, we learnt:
We’ve tried out some client interrogation videos on Stan’s account. Although we’ve always known video content doesn’t get pushed as much as written, it’s been good to try this new content style.
Although we started posting some tip carousels from our team, they aren’t getting the engagement we’d hoped. We need to keep tweaking these until we find what works.
Stan’s best performing post of the week: You made us an extra $1 mil this year. Why wasn't it $1.2 mil?
Our favourite team post of the week: I hate running.

TAS IRL

As much as we try to capture all our shenanigans for your entertainment, sometimes cool sh*t happens offline.
Here's what's gone down at TAS IRL this week:
Intern Annelise leaves us AND Turns 21. We want to give a huge shoutout to our intern turned short term account exec. Annelise, who came all the way from BELGIUM to be with us. You are so special and will be extremely missed ♡
Mel and Stan spoke at Take Up Space last night. Stan spoke on leveraging social media to connect with your audience while Mel delved into community and culture!
Curls visited the TAS office this week. The infamous Curls (also known as Richard) spent the week at TAS helping us learn a thing or two about script writing. It was great having him and his big brain around!
We got PR packages! Flight Coffee AND Barell Hassellhoff's Chocolate sent us some goodies. It's safe to say they had the whole office buzzing. Thanks guys!
Learning lunch with Bloxx. Bloxx is an incredible new company with an aim to address the NZ housing crisis. They came in for lunch to show us their practical pathways to homeownership.
