And the remedy has come in the form of a TikTok trend called a ‘dopamine menu.’
In case you haven’t heard, a dopamine menu is a curated list of things that spark joy. And, yeah, maybe it won’t totally cure your desire to doomscroll. But it’s definitely something your brand should be creating for your audience (because we’re all looking for a little happiness right now!).

Why Your Brand Needs to Create a ‘Dopamine Menu,’ Like, Right Now

The ‘dopamine menu’ TikTok trend is all about curating lists of joyful activities or products that give a quick boost of happiness. Brands can tap into this trend by creating their own menus and encouraging customers to share theirs to build engagement and foster community.
WTF is a dopamine menu on TikTok? Please tell me it’s going to instantly solve at least 85% of my issues.
Ok, let’s be real. Nothing is that powerful, except for maybe a lobotomy.
But I do believe TikTok trends are fun little concepts that brands can tap into. Which is, like, just as important.
It’s like drugs, but you know, legal and not bad for you.
This concept, despite probably being another fad, is cute as heck – and it totally struck a chord with me.
Maybe that’s indicative of me needing some dopamine. But nonetheless, if you want to jump on this trend while it lasts,
Here's some ideas to help you create a dopamine menu for your brand:
Curated product lists.
Put together a 'dopamine menu' featuring products that bring immediate joy or satisfaction. This would work really well for a beauty brand. For example, a menu with skincare products that give quick results (like a hydrating face mist or an instant glow mask).

Kamala Harris Opens Up On Sex Podcast

In an effort to reach female voters, Kamala Harris appeared on Call Her Daddy, a podcast known for candid chats about sex and relationships. The interview attracted over 5 million viewers and garnered widespread media attention, making it a win not just for Harris, but for host Alex Cooper, too.
Kamala Harris just gave a 40-minute interview that over 5 million people watched. Was it on CNN? Fox News?
Nope.
It was on Call Her Daddy.
Wait, why did a presidential candidate appear on a podcast that is known for talking about sex?
Good question. There are a lot of reasons.
But first, what is this podcast all about?
Call Her Daddy is a popular podcast hosted by Alex Cooper. It's known for its candid discussions on sex, relationships, and mental health.
Call Her Daddy began as a place for conversations about dating. Now, the podcast has everything from celebrity interviews to deep cultural discussions. It’s the US's most popular podcast on Spotify (just beating out The Joe Rogan Experience), with women being its target demographic.
And Harris is gunning for the female votes.
In a previous article, we discussed how Harris was harnessing the power of TikTok and current trends to get Gen Z’s vote. So, her appearance on Call Her Daddy is an extension of this youth-centric campaign.

Trend Plug - I Have a Glock

Staying on the Kamala Harris theme, today's trend comes from the gift that keeps giving--you guessed it, VP Kamala Harris herself.
This trend comes from her 60 Minutes interview. When asked about her stance on gun ownership during the interview, Harris responded, 'I have a Glock.'
Now, TikTokers are showing that they've reached their LIMIT with actions or people that've pushed them too far. The sound is so versatile! It's got examples ranging from, 'when a guy asks me "wyd" for the 5th time in an hour' to 'when there's a slow walker in front of me.'
How to jump on this trend:
Using this sound, simply talk about something that angers or upsets you so much that it gets your blood boiling. Lipsync to the phrase, 'I have a Glock.'
A few ideas to get you started:

When the meeting starts going over time
Me when someone talks to me before my morning coffee

Ask the Editor

Q - I've had a few of my posts totally flop recently and it's getting discouraging. How do I keep being consistent when I feel like it's getting me nowhere? -Ian
Hey Ian!
I totally understand where you're coming from. It can be hard to keep posting when you aren't getting much engagement. But the only way to improve your content is to keep posting.
I'd encourage you to keep posting every day, paying attention to your analytics. Experiment by changing up your hook, images, and post style. And don't be afraid to change tack quickly. At TAS, we call this being agile.
You don't need to do the same thing for a month to see if it will work. If you do a few posts in a similar style and none work, try something else.
The key is continuing to create content, even when you aren't quite sure what is going to work. Because you'll figure out what works way faster by continuing to post than you will by stopping!
